Samantha Mohr
Mohr was a UGA student. She entered her first pageant after being offered by a friend. She won Miss Columbus 1985. Her win allowed her for to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr won the competition on June 22, 1985. Mohr was awarded more than $3500 worth of scholarships, as well as prize money at the State Pageant. As Miss Georgia she was involved in public appearances across the state of Georgia. Mohr the Georgia representative was at Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September 1985. Mohr had a 22-to-1 chance for winning the Miss America title. Computer modelling proved to be successful in forecasting Susan Akin's victory. Mohr was not a Top-10 finalist for the title of Miss America. Mohr's time in the role of Miss Georgia lasted until she crowned her successor, Marlesa Ball, as Miss Georgia 1986 on June 28 June, 1986.
